Personal Cheat Watcher
Well I have broken the mold again, on the back of the ‘Watch a Cheater’ web pages, You can now have your very own ‘Personal Cheat Watcher’ (PCW) And the best part of it is you do not need to install any software to use it.
All you have to do is follow the link below (save it to your favorites), enter your on-line name and Click the ‘Monitor Me’ button. Minimize the web page and play any server, after a short while you will hear a sound Telling you the webpage has found the server you are on, and if any cheater’s join that server you will hear the alarm sound, yep it really is that simple.
If you look back at the web page you will see the server you are playing and the cheaters reasons for a ban by following the link.
Technical Tested in IE and FireFox, IE user unfortunately may have to disable that annoying browser refresh click sound, but there are instructions on how to do that in the page. Also with Microsoft’s paranoia about security you may see ‘Press Spacebar or Enter to activate the control’ because there are two embedded wav files in the top left of the screen, just ignore this message as when the page refreshes you will see it again.
FireFox is a bit slow at handling embedded audio, so you may appear on-line with the sound following 10 seconds later.
Get your very own PCW here |

Personal Cheat Watcher
As part of my continued revision and update of my software I have given the PCW an upgrade, and it is now called ‘Personal Cheat Monitor and Buddy Watcher’. Not very imaginative I know.
You may now have up to 5 buddy’s in a list and when one or more of them come on-line you will be told and show what server they are playing on, all you have to do then if your not in AA already is click on the server and in you go.
Why only 5 buddies I know some of you are saying, well looking at my website statistics this one webpage is being used by 800-1000 users per 24 hour period, and as anybody who has used it knows, it refresh’s ever 60 seconds. Now as a simple check the data was small now with 5 buddies there is a bit more to do and I am trying to control the Bandwidth from the website along with all the other services I supply. At some point in the future I may expand the buddy list to 10, but for now 5 only Sorry.
On another note, my scanning server is now talking to over 2900 servers some of which only come on-line now and again. This scanning server is taking about 2-3 minutes to scan servers with players (usually between 200-700 depending on the time of day) and servers without players takes about 4 minutes. This would mean a in the worst case that a player could be online for 7 minutes before you would even know about it, It’s only one round in most cases. But I am in the process of building another two pc’s to help with the load balancing which should speed this process up considerably.
The beauty of this, is that it is a webpage no program to install - so try it out http://www.redsack.com/pcw.asp |

I'm using the PCW but the quicktime thing that opens plays the sound so fast I haven't a clue what it's saying. How can I slow that down? |

Not heard that one before, excuse the pun. You seem to have QuickTime as your default audio device for playing wav files.
When you say QuickTime opens the files so fast, is this clicking on the Speaker icon to test the sound or during normal operation? And what OS are you using?Last Edited : 4/2/2007 2:44:07 PM GMT |

Hey Sidewinder, is the Buddy Watcher supposed to retain my buddy list or do I have to enter their names each time I use it? I've set the PCW page as my homepage and every time I open it my name is still there but my buddy list is empty. If I close the page but not the browser and then reopen the page my buddy list is still there.

Yes thats true, i will have to set the buddy list so that it holds them for more than one session, i am supprised you are the only person to say anything about this. Will test it over the next couple of days and update it. |

Hey Admin,
First of all I'd just light to show my face and say "HI", as well as ask a few questions in which I'm sure you'll embrace. I love Cheat Watcher, but, I wonder if you could develop something like the chameleon part? The reason why I as this is because it would be nice to check out a name at will (who is on the server with honor 12 e.g) and check if he/she is indeed a vet who uses multiple accounts? Any reply/input would be gladly recieved.
PS- Could not make a new post (?) hence why I posted here, so sorry about that! |

Hi and thanks for poping in, can’t make new post’s?, don’t know why what happens.
Linked accounts is not very easy to do and I think fraught with problems, why I here you say. Well there are only two way’s to know if a player has created a new account 1) Direct information from America’s Army about the player, this would be great but is not possible as you are not allowed to see player account information.
2) Use the IP number the player comes in to each server game on and store it, therefore next time the player comes into the server check their IP against the stored ones to cross-reference who they are.
Now if they are using a different GUID and the same IP I could be a new account, but for one thing, how do you know if their IP is not a dynamic one (i.e. 10 players using the same ISP and being allocated an IP each time they connect to the internet)
There is another way and this would be 100%, and that would be to harvest their MAC-ID (a globally unique number that comes from their Network card) and store this against the players info, but gaining access to their MAC needs a special program running on the game servers and most admin would not do this and the other can’t do this as they rent servers and can’t get to run other programs.
so sorry about that but i am working hard at the moment on something new but this thread has given me a couple of ideas. all the best |

Thanks for the reply, when you said 'gaining access to their MAC needs a special program' and 'most admin won't do this or can#t because they're renting a server'. What exactly do you mean by this, is it okay to use the program (you won't get any backlash). And if you install this 'program' is it easy for less computer savvy people like me to use?
PS- Thanks in advance for your reply before as I know you are quite a busy man, look forward to hearing fom you soon bud. |

| It is ok to use the programs with no backlash, and on thinking about this abit more I am not sure but i think PB may be doing this or AA, because if you are a really bad hacker you can get a hardware ban, and the MAC is the only way to do this. |

Hope they do in the next 1-2 months so the hackers/scum can be put to ban land for good and resort to playing other hackers on NON-PB servers etc. If they don't then you may recieve a PM from me asking how you achieve what you previously stated!
;)
PS-Forgot I added your msn, "I'm so vacuous", oh well I'll just bombard you with ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? lol |

| I use this constantly. It takes more than the advertised 2-4 minutes to find me, but it's still an invaluable tool. Great stuff. |

Thanks, i can take a bit longer and this time will grow, the more server I am scanning the longer i take to get round them all. but the great thing is, it's a web page smart codeing i think some of my best.
As time goes on I will have to add another scanning server to help speed this up a bit more |

I've noticed that if I join the server THEN start monitoring, it finds me more quickly. Also if I change server it finds me more quickly if I Alt-Tab out, stop the monitor and start it again. This may be coincidence, but I thought you may like the info. |

its a great program. however after a few seconds it logs my info out and i have to redo it. i think i read somewhere that its cause so many people use it.
Is there a way you can make it downloadable. im thinking this.
we could down load it and use it in game and u can put a options menu in it to where we can put how many seconds or minutes we choose for it to update server info that we we can scan the server lets say if somone new joins or rescan the server every 3-5 mins to look for cheaters in the server. i think that would work best in my opinion

Hi Rapture Try the game tool, it also checks for cheats when they join the server you are playing. |
